Extended support
Where possible, we support our clients until they are self-sufficient.
We can provide additional formal support to help our clients through a difficult time or change in their lives, particularly when making a transition from an institutional setting, such as hospital or prison, into the community.
Being able to call on a familiar face at times of change could mean the difference between coping in the community and needing to return to an institutional setting.
All our befrienders / mentors are trained volunteers, who are in turn supported in their role as helper. Some of these may have been helped by our services themselves in the past and have moved on the point of being able to support others. In this way, they can offer a real insight real problems on the way to a journey of recovery.
